Can Innovation Rock Your World?…
Innovation and creativity are god-gifted qualities that everyone possesses. Despite this fact, most people aren’t aware of their presence. What a pity because innovation has the power to change the world, not only personal but societal. Instead of marveling at others’ creations one needs to tap into his inner potential and get innovative.
Creativity is born the same day you are. It is innate and individualistic. Everyone has the potential to explore the unknown through his innovative traits. All that is required is an effort to awaken the inner creativity. Once you know what your interest, capabilities and desires are, you’ll be able to focus your energy towards it. Achieving the impossible isn’t hard, it’s just about taking the different path.
The path that no one wants you to tread!
Just as you took time to learn riding a bike, innovation too takes its own sweet time to materialize. It grows on your thinking mechanism and its results are evident in the way you accomplish your everyday tasks. You need to practice and learn to approach each problem in a different manner. Eventually, you’ll start seeing each problem from many angles allowing you to come up with lots of solutions. So, let me introduce you to some tips that will help you become innovative.
- Don’t pay any attention to what others are saying: Listen to your heart and hear your gut feeling. When you subject yourself to people’s reviews, you are just wasting your own time. People can’t achieve something themselves and they tell that you can’t either. Turn a blind eye to the critics and don’t even make any efforts to shut them up. You’ll be wasting more of your time. Instead try to focus on your goals. Innovation becomes stagnant if you keep listening to age-old comments.
- Give it Time: Results are never immediate. You need to give time to your innovative thoughts and nurture them gradually. Most people keep complaining that they don’t have enough time to devote to their creative ideas. I say, you have. You just need time management and discipline to accommodate both your desires and duties.
- Be Active: Do some physical activity on a regular basis. You can walk, jog, do aerobics or lift weights. It helps transportation of Endorphins in our veins and clears our mind of any negative thoughts. By refreshing your mind, you are making it perceptive to new thoughts.
- Remember What you’ve Dream: Dreams are known as the hidden treasure of your innovative prowess. I bet you’ve had some very crazy dreams till date. If you can remember any of those dreams, pen them down. Make notes of what happened in your dream. Slowly, you’ll notice that a picture will emerge out of it. This will be enough to spark a sleeping thought mechanism.
- Be yourself and Discover your Personal Style: Do you know why you like certain brands? It’s because brands represent individuality. Some of the greatest innovators became great because they stood out and made their own style. For example, an artwork is appreciated because the artist has immersed it in his uniqueness. It’s the style and individuality of an innovation that decides whether it will taste success or not. Let your ideas signify what you are and what your thoughts reflect.
- Technology is a mere Tool: I feel sad when I see so many internet marketers try out sophisticated software to attract traffic while ignoring the basic laws of magnetism. You need to understand that creativity can survive even without gadgets. If you are a good writer, you won’t need an expensive pen to make your content a bestseller. Your words will create the magic. Similarly, what’s the use of having a state-of-the-art camera, if you can’t shoot a frame right?
- Have a Burning Desire: Passion is the fuel that fires innovation. An idea cannot survive if you don’t have the passion to work on it. Ask yourself: Why do you wake up every morning? Is your desire worth dying for? If you are unwilling to start on your dream project, than you don’t really have a dream project. You have to want success as badly as you would want air if you drowning. Learn to work on your project with a great zeal and enthusiasm.
Hope these tips help spark your inner creativity. Remember, innovative thinking can be developed over time. Once things get going, everything will find a meaning and your life will be on the right track.

Hi Katherine,
amazing article. The most important part is probably not to listen what others are saying. And the toughest. Because people fear public humiliation more than death. Keep the good stuff coming.
Have a blessed weekend and take care
Cheers

You are right about no listening to what others are saying, believe me I’ve learned the hard way not to do that.

Great advice. Being yourself is so important as that authenticity is what draws people to you. There will be people with whom you can’t work and being who you are will attract the right ones for you.

Hi Charlie,
Yes authenticity is one of my favorite qualities a person can posses. Being just ‘YOU’ it’s so much simpler than pretending to be someone you are not.
Thanks for your comment and have an awesome weekend!

I really enjoyed reading this Katherine. I’ve tried telling so many people who thought that they weren’t “gifted enough” that if they focused on what they loved, their innate creativity would come out. Thank you for sharing this!

Hi Katherine,
I like all of your topics, but the two that I related to the best were… the first one “Don’t pay any attention to what others are saying:”… I seem to have some negativity around me for what I am trying to do, but I feel I must listen to what the person has to say so I am not being rude. Then I must allow the negativity to roll off my back and continue to move forward and go with my passion!
That brings me up to the second one that I liked out of your topics… “Have a Burning Desire”… if you have a passion for what you love, you put your heart and soul into each piece of copy you put out, and your love for what you do shows through in your words.
Thank You for your post… it was awesome!

P.S. Have you thought about getting the Plug-in “CommentLuv” for your comments box… it’s been recommended by Katie Freiling and others, and it’s awesome?

Hi John,
You are absolutely correct on following what you are most passionate about. Who cares what others have to say! Just trust your instincts and move forward. We learn, grow and implement as we go. It’s all in us and we develop it in every step of the way, until we find success.
Thanks for your great comment
P.S. Thanks for suggesting the Comment Luv plug-in, I will add it to my blog
Have a great weekend!

Hi Katherine! I truly loved this post! Innovation is a base to our success… so I definitely agree. We need to focus on what inner strength and creativity we were born with and mold it as we grow, learn and go for our dreams.
My favorite was “Give It Time” as I feel so many lose out on their true potential because they quit before the blessing. You have to keep going and never give up no matter what obstacle, wall or fear comes in your way as that is what will bring you the success you are looking for!
Great stuff girl and looking forward to more! HUGS!

Hi Jennifer,
I’m so glad you liked this post
Great choice, we got to give it time to anything we really love doing and are passionate about. Some people don’t give it enough time and quit before they know it and that’s a shame. There are going to be obstacles in our way and that’s exactly what’s going to make us successful
Thanks for your comment!

Hi Cathy, amazing post again..
I can also relate the most with “don’t listen what others say”
majority just doesn’t believe in things I believe , they don’t try to make an influence on me cause they know they can’t. But what happens later is when they see your progress and results they ether start asking all of the sudden for more details or you just spot them on your leads list.If we speak about people from our close circle (friends and family) the worse thing is if they act negatively and lower our self esteem. But if we are strong enough to resist that, one day, they start telling everyone around how great and successful their friend/daughter/sister is.. Ohh boy, do I like to slap it in their face and ask where were they when I was going through hard time and make them remember what they were telling me before.. thats how it goes most of the time..
Now l am not actually surrounded by people who say “you wont make it”, (but I bet they say it behind my back)

Isn’t that funny!
When I first started in this industry and family and friends gave me their negative opinion. I was really emotionally affected at first, then when I started getting really involved and started my personal development to develop the right mindset, I could care less of what they have to say now. Ultimately is not about them, it’s about ME and what I’m passion it about. When they ask me how things are going now, I just completely change the subject. What do they care? if they didn’t at the first place
Thanks for your comment Milena
